Beloved West Coast burger chain with cult following announces expansion east - & fans say new store

A WEST Coast fast food giant has announced that it will expand eastward with a new location set to open.

The California-based In-N-Out has revealed it will at last have a store in each state that makes up the Four Corners in the Southwest.

Albuquerque, New Mexico will receive its first-ever branch of the West Coast favorite fast food chain.

The new location is expected to open by 2027, according to an Instagram post by the chain.

Arizona, Utah, and Colorado already have 100 In-N-Out locations, while Texas has 82. But lonely New Mexico was left out.

“It's an exciting day for our Company, the In-N-Out Family and our Customers. Stay tuned for more details," the post read.

“We're looking forward to serving quality burgers, fries, and shakes in Albuquerque, NM!”

The post was signed off by In-N-Out’s owner and president, Lynsi Snyder.

In-N-Out said that it was in its “early planning stages” of the expansion but revealed that its distribution facility in Colorado Springs “will enable delivery of fresh products to each location.”

In a statement to the Albuquerque Journal, In-N-Out said: “Growth into New Mexico is an important milestone for us.

“We’ve heard from many loyal In-N-Out customers there through the years, wondering if we would ever open restaurants in their communities, especially after opening locations farther to the east.

“It was only a matter of when, once we had the infrastructure and support in place."

The cult burger chain also announced that it would expand into other cities but these have not been announced.

In-N-Out has also opened locations in Nevada and Oregon.

Fans shared their excitement and one person made a claim about the potential success of the new opening.

This fan said: “Yes…… finally, your first Albuquerque store will set records when it opens!”

Other fans joked and asked for green chile burgers.

Green chiles, or the New Mexico chiles, are a huge part of southwestern cuisine.
